Spring - This quarter’s cover story is about the Voith Industrial Services strike victory, and also includes information about so-called “Right-to-Work” legislation and our on-going battle with it.
Readers will notice that this issue sports a brand new look. Local 89 staff worked very hard to do a complete overhaul of the newsletter to make it more visually appealing, stylish, and easier to read. We hope everyone enjoys the changes!
Summer - This quarter's cover story focuses on the women in our great union and features Brenda Helm from RCS posing in a tribute to the famous “Rosie the Riveter” as the cover image. This issue also includes a story about Skills USA competition and the Teamsters volunteers who helped put it together, updates about “Right-to-Work” legislation and our on-going battle with it, and many other stories.
Fall - This quarter’s cover story focuses on the 2015 Kentucky Elections and how important it is for all members to stay politically engaged in order to keep the Teamsters union strong, as well as many other stories.
Winter - This quarter's cover story focuses on Teamsters Local 89's new affiliation with the Kentucky State AFL-CIO. This issue also includes short biographies of several scholarship winners as well as several other stories.
Spring - This quarter's cover story focuses on Madonna Russell, a long time Local 89 steward at a UPS facility in Campbellsville, and her victory against management mistreatment. This issue also includes a piece about the women who work at Advance Ready Mix, and several pages of contract, local, and political updates.
Summer - This quarter's cover story focuses on Morgan Foods and the Teamsters members who work there. This issue also includes a piece about Skills USA, and several pages of contract, local, and political updates.
