Teamsters Local 89 Event Cancellations

As part of our continued efforts to safeguard our members during the COVID-19 outbreak, Teamsters Local 89 has had to make the unfortunate decision to cancel our previously planned annual Teamsters Day at Kentucky Kingdom, as well as the 2020 Steward Leadership Conference.

Although both of these events are very important to us, the general concerns about the virus, along with the ongoing spike in cases, have left us greatly concerned for the health and safety of the members who attend these events. We could not reasonably see any way to maintain proper social distancing and other COVID-19 guidelines at Kentucky Kingdom or the Steward Leadership Conference. With our members health and safety being paramount to our decision-making process during this crisis, canceling these events was the only reasonable path forward.

Although we are disappointed we will not have these amazing events this year, we look forward to returning to them in 2021.
