Teamsters Local 89 met with the Company this week for Louisville Air Supplement negotiations, a contract which covers all members at UPS Worldport. We are happy to report that, after months of slow movement, the Company has finally begun to take negotiations seriously.
Leveraging the ongoing Strike Authorization vote and the approaching July 31st deadline, the Teamsters Local 89 negotiating committee was able to make significant progress on a number of key issues.
“While we still have more issues to tackle before we conclude negotiations for the Louisville Air Supplement, we are very pleased with the progress we made this week,” said President Fred Zuckerman. “Our committee has made it clear to the Company that our members voices must be heard, and we are well on the way to achieving a strong Local contract for our members at UPS Worldport.”
