Teamsters Local 215 members at IMI ended their strike against the Company by ratifying a new three-year agreement that maintained their health insurance and included significant wages.
During their strike, Local 215 extended their picket lines to IMI locations in Local 89's jurisdiction. Our members honored those picket lines and refused to cross, which was referenced by Local 215 in an article about the strike ending.
"This can be attributed to their determination to present a united front, as well as the collective support they received from both IMI members of Teamsters Local 89, as well as other unions in the Southwestern Indiana Building and Construction Trades Council."
Teamsters Local 89 is proud to have played a role in earning our brothers and sisters in Local 215 the contract they deserved!
